KS3
During KS3 students participate in activities including Dance, Skateboarding, Trampolining and Football. Inter form competitions take place throughout the school year complementing the KS3 curriculum. Another highlight of the year is the CSG Dance Show in the spring term.
All pupils are expected to wear the following PE kit for lessons: Navy blue/black bottoms and a white CSG t-shirt (purchased from the school) and trainers accordingly.
KS4 - GCSE
PE is offered as a GCSE option for Years 10 and 11 following the AQA syllabus. The course is assessed by two written exams, three practical activities and a piece of coursework. Whilst we offer Trampolining, Netball and Handball as the assessed practical activities in school, students can be assessed in any sport they participate in outside of school, provided it is on the exam board's list of permitted activities.
Students not sitting the GCSE cover activities such as Fitness, Trampolining, Netball and Basketball during a double lesson each week.
Extra-curricular clubs are offered every day.

The weekend gives pupils the opportunity to experience a range of outdoor activities.
Highlights of the weekend include Bog Running, Biving, Abseiling and Climbling at Cheesering in Dartmoor, Kayaking and River Crossings.
Details of this year’s trip will be published in the Banda. Click on the picture above or go to Devon Trip page to see images from the trip.

The Camden Shield is the home of competitive secondary school sport in the Borough of Camden. Every year, since its creation in 2011, schools across Camden compete in a number of sports in a bid to win the Camden Shield. There are separate competitions for boys and girls, where schools are ranked after their performance in each sport. A running total is kept throughout the season and at the end of a school year one school is crowned Camden Shield winners.
Our teams are selected from students who regularly participate in the clubs for the relevant sports, with different teams for each year group. Results and overall standings are available in the Friday News every half term.
In recent years a number of our students have also been selected to represent the Borough of Camden in the London Youth Games for: Tag Rugby, Handball, Netball, Table Tennis, Squash, Badminton, Tennis, Football, Indoor Rowing, Athletics, Cricket and Sailing.
Through the Step into Dance programme, our Year 7’s have the opportunity to work with professional dance teachers. Information about the programme and pictures from previous shows can be seen on the Step into Dance website.
We have also set up our very own ‘CSG Dance Company’ whereby our best dancers also have the opportunity to work on a piece for the Dance Show and various other performances throughout the year. Auditions take place every year and pupils from all year groups are welcome to audition.
We have a school dance show every year where Year 7 showcase what they have been working on in lessons, Dance Company perform the choreography they have learned and other students perform dances they have choreographed themselves!
In the summer term, CASCA organise a Danceathon where every form competes in a year group dance off in order to gain a place in the final and be crowned overall winners. Students also raise money for CASCA, with a prize for the form who manages to raise the most!
